I wanted to get my snes out of my room and this allowed me to use the original controllers with my computer. Both controllers are immediatly recognized and work right away in snes9x, fceux, and vba with a quick remaping. Highly recomended, now I have no need for the old consoles.
the usb length is about 18" but since I have the snes extensions It's not a problem for me.

Product recognizes as one port.
-First port is up recognized to a certain number.
-Second port is recognized up through another number past first.
Works great with Snesz.
I have original controllers works flawlessly just as if i'm playing on my console.

I got the adapter in perfect condition and it works very well with the VBA and snes9x. I recommend this to anyone who wants to play their games and feel like they are actually playing on a snes.

Haven't noticed delay/compatibility issues yet but will look closer given other reviews. Joysticks register as HID devices with OS so compatibility problems could be app/app setting related. Delay could be triple-buffering/vsync related in app.

i was skeptical about buying this because i own a mac and there was nothing about this product working on a mac. i got it in the mail today tried it out and it works great! im playing yoshis island and a bunch of other old school snes games on snes9x. it also works on VBA. thats about pretty much all i use but im sure it would work great on other emulators. im happy :D
